LEARN A LITTLE BIT ABOUT
GOZZY AND HER ACADEMY
"Cricket has always been a deep passion of mine, shaping much of who I am today. Although I'm no longer playing competitively, that passion hasn’t faded—it’s simply evolved. I founded Gozzy's with a clear mission: to create a high-performance coaching environment that’s accessible and affordable for aspiring cricketers of all levels. My goal is to give players the tools, support, and expert guidance they need to unlock their full potential, develop their skills, and thrive both on and off the field."
- Michelle Goszko

Hello and Welcome to My Academy
I’m Michelle Goszko, a proud former international cricketer who has been fortunate enough to live out a lifelong passion for the game. Born on October 7, 1977, in Blacktown, Australia, I discovered cricket at a young age and quickly fell in love with everything about it—the competition, the camaraderie, and the challenge. That love turned into a career that took me to the highest levels of the sport.
My international debut came in 1997, and from that moment, I gave everything I had to the game. Throughout my career, I strived to be a consistent and reliable performer, both domestically and on the world stage. One of the proudest moments of my journey was in June 2001, when I scored 204 on Test debut for Australia against England at Shenley Park—an innings that equaled the world record for the highest individual score in a women’s Test debut.
But cricket has always been about more than just numbers and milestones. For me, it’s also about giving back. I’ve worked hard to use my platform to inspire and support the next generation—especially young girls—by advocating for greater access, equity, and opportunity in sport. I’m passionate about breaking down barriers and making cricket more inclusive and accessible for all.
Since stepping away from international competition, I have been fortunate enough to commentate on this great game. I try to bring insightful analysis, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and enthusiasm to every broadcast. My passion for the sport remains undiminished, and it’s evident in the energy I bring to the commentary box. For me, commentary isn’t just a job; it’s a way to stay connected to the game I love and to share that love with fans around the world.
As you can see, I remain deeply connected to the game—whether it’s through coaching, mentoring, or commentary. Cricket has shaped who I am, and I’m committed to passing on everything it’s taught me to help others find their own path to success.
